AbstractIt is worth distinguishing between the two strategies of expectant management for prostate cancer. Watchful waiting entails administering non‐curative androgen deprivation therapy to patients on development of symptomatic progression, whereas active surveillance entails delivering curative treatment on signs of disease progression.
