Adaptive Fuzzy Backstepping-Based Formation Control of Unmanned Surface Vehicles With Unknown Model Nonlinearity and Actuator Saturation

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2020
In this article, the formation control of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) is addressed considering actuator saturation and unknown nonlinear items. The algorithm can be divided into two parts, steering the leader USV to trace along the desired path and ...

Assisting saturated control for a linear system with saturating actuators

IECON '98. Proceedings of the 24th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (Cat. No.98CH36200), 2002
For a linear system with saturating actuators, a new control scheme, AS (assisting saturated) control is proposed. The AS control has a modified form of an ARE (algebraic Riccati equation) based saturating control in the case that some control input channels are not saturated.

Finite-Time Trajectory Tracking Control of Space Manipulator Under Actuator Saturation

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2020
This paper proposes a finite-time trajectory tracking controller for a space manipulator under model uncertainty, external disturbance, and actuator saturation. The dynamics of space manipulator is derived using Kane's method.

Robust prescribed‐time consensus of multi‐agent systems with actuator saturation and actuator faults

Asian journal of control, 2021
Prescribed‐time leader‐following consensus problem of multi‐agent systems with actuator saturation is considered in this paper. With the proposed protocol, the convergence time can be assigned off‐line, and actuator saturation problem is solved.

Linear conditioning for systems containing saturating actuators

Automatica, 2000
A system composed of a linear controller and plant can exhibit strange behaviour when the actuators linking the controller to the plant are subject to saturation, or other nonlinear effects. Linear conditioning means augmenting the system with a linear transfer function to change the system's behaviour during, and immediately following, saturation.

Global Control of Linear Systems with Saturating Actuators

Automatica, 1998
Continuous-time linear systems with saturating actuators are considered. A gain-scheduling controller is introduced where the actuator characteristic is accounted for in the design of the controller. Several control problems, e.g. global asymptotic stabilization, disturbance rejection, robust stabilization, etc. are treated in this paper.

Design of Actuator Saturation Compensators for Absolute Stability

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1995
Abstract Actuator saturation is a common problem in practical control systems. Existing saturation compensation schemes are often derived with little consideration for the stability of the closed-loop system. An approach to design a compensator for a given system such that the compensated system is absolute stable is presented.

Constraints on inputs: actuator saturation

2012
This chapter is concerned with designing controllers for linear systems subject to input saturation with the purpose of achieving internal stabilization. This is a prelude to most of the subsequent chapters, and presents basic problem statements of global and semi-global internal stabilization, necessary and sufficient conditions under which such a ...
