Neutrophil extracellular trap clearance by synovial macrophages in gout
Background Monosodium urate (MSU) crystals, i.e., the central etiological factors in gouty arthritis, induce the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs).

Suppressing chondrocyte cuproptosis by syringaresinol-4-O-β-d-glucoside alleviates gouty arthritis
BackgroundGouty arthritis is a rheumatic disease characterized by synovial inflammation and cartilage damage. Current therapeutic options for gouty arthritis, such as colchicine, primarily relieve the symptoms, which makes treatment challenging.MethodsWe

Effect of fenoprofen calcium on acute gouty arthritis [PDF]
AbstractTwenty‐seven patients with thirty‐six joints affected with acute gouty arthritis were treated with fenoprofen calcium for a duration not exceeding 8 days and with a variable dose not exceeding 3.2 g daily. The results indicate that fenoprofen calcium was an effective drug in these patients. Side effects were modest.

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient

The TPR‐LYTACs nanomaterial offers a dual‐pathway strategy for precise gouty arthritis treatment by targeting and degrading the ROS‐producing enzyme NOX2 inside macrophages while its antioxidant core clears accumulated ROS outside. This “source inhibition and microenvironment scavenging” approach, guided by NIR‐II imaging, effectively controls local ...

Role of Ultrasonography in Diagnosing Gouty Arthritis
Urate crystal deposition in the joints is the hallmark of gout. The aim of our study is to determine the characteristic sonographic features of gouty arthritis, and to evaluate the utility of ultrasonography (US) in diagnosing gouty arthritis.
