Influence of griseofulvin upon acute gouty arthritis [PDF]

open access: yesArthritis & Rheumatism, 1962
AbstractAntiphlogistic properties of griseofulvin, a fungistatic antibiotic, were demonstrated in patients with acute gouty arthritis. By use of moderate‐to‐high dosages, complete remissions appeared in 14 patients and partial remissions in 2 within 24 to 48 hours. Side effects of the drug were negligible.
