Model‐Based Analysis with Mechanistic Insights to CAR‐T‐Cell Therapy Kinetics: Case Study with Axicabtagene Ciloleucel and Brexucabtagene Autoleucel

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 4, Page 1027-1040, October 2026.
Model‐informed drug development is increasingly used to support chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T‐cell therapy programs. However, most population pharmacokinetic (PK) CAR‐T‐cell models available in literature are variations of an empirical piecewise‐linear model, which accurately describes the observed data but lacks a mechanistic foundation.

One cycle of nelarabine given after induction is well tolerated but does not improve outcome in adults with T‐cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia: Outcome data from the UKALL14 randomized‐controlled trial

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract UKALL14 (NCT01085617) T‐cell arm was a phase 3, randomized‐controlled trial. Adults aged 25–65 years were randomized 1:1 at entry to receive standard of care (SOC) or SOC + nelarabine 1.5 g/m2 (Days 1, 3, and 5) to be administered following second induction. The primary end‐point was event‐free survival (EFS).

A platform of serially transplantable AML PDX models covering subgroups for which no cell lines exist

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a highly aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis, underlining the need for suitable model systems to develop novel treatments. To complement the few existing AML cell lines and restricted primografts, we transplanted more than 100 primary AML samples into immunocompromised mice and generated 23 exceptionally ...

The 9th Edition of the UICC TNM Classification of Malignant Tumours: Updates and Rationale for Change

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 7, Page 1588-1601, 1 October 2026.
ABSTRACT The standard for assessing and recording the extent of the tumour, a necessity for most malignancies, is the Tumour Node Metastases (TNM) classification. The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) TNM committee has defined this since the early 1950s.
