The first method for decarbonylative direct arylation using acyl fluorides is reported. This reaction proceeds, only when acyl fluorides are used, and other acyl halides cannot be used.

N‐heterocyclic carbene catalyzed photoenolization/Diels–Alder reaction of acid fluorides [PDF]
The combination of light activation and N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) organocatalysis has enabled the use of acid fluorides as substrates in a UVA‐light‐mediated photochemical transformation previously observed only with aromatic aldehydes and ketones ...

A protocol for amide bond formation with electron deficient amines and sterically hindered substrates [PDF]
A protocol for amide coupling by in situ formation of acyl fluorides and reaction with amines at elevated temperature has been developed and found to be efficient for coupling of sterically hindered substrates and electron deficient amines where standard

Carboxylic Acid Deoxyfluorination and One-Pot Amide Bond Formation Using Pentafluoropyridine (PFP) [PDF]
This work describes the application of pentafluoropyridine (PFP), a cheap commercially available reagent, in the deoxyfluorination of carboxylic acids to acyl fluorides. The acyl fluorides can be formed from a range of acids under mild conditions.

Mixed‐Functionalized Acylgermanes Result in Wavelength‐Controlled Fragmentation
Selective radical generation from PEG‐acylgermanes is achieved by controlling the used wavelength. Distinct aryl‐carbonyl units undergo wavelength‐dependent α‐cleavage, producing radicals with different reactivities. UV/Vis, TD‐DFT, and photo‐CIDNP spectroscopy confirm that small adjustments in light input directly dictate radical identity and ...

Palladium–mediated organofluorine chemistry [PDF]
Producción CientíficaThe substitution of fluorine for hydrogen in a molecule may result in profound changes in its properties and behaviour. Fluorine does not introduce special steric constraints since the F atom has a small size. However, the changes in

Theoretical studies on the all-anti zigzag geometries of perfluoro-n-alkyl chains [PDF]
Theoretical investigations were conducted on the gas phase all-anti zigzag geometries of C~3~ through C~7~ perfluoro-n-alkanes and the perfluoro-n-octanoate anion using various semiempirical, density functional theory, and composite method approaches ...

A Facile Synthesis of N-fmoc Protected Amino/peptidyl Weinreb Amides Employing Acid Chlorides as Key Intermediates [PDF]
An efficient, cost effective method for the preparation of N-Fmoc α-amino/ peptidyl Weinreb amides from the corresponding acid chlorides has been described. The synthesis of acid chlorides was accelerated by ultrasonication and were
