Covalent Activation of the C‐type Lectin DC‐SIGN

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 3, 16 January 2026.
We introduce the first covalent activators of a C‐type lectin. Using orthogonal functional assays, NMR, MS/MS, and computational modeling, we delineate mechanisms from a functional electrophile‐first screen on dendritic cell‐specific intercellular adhesion molecule‐3‐grabbing non‐integrin (DC‐SIGN) that yields two modes: N‐hydroxysuccinimide (NHS ...

Enantioconvergent Access to Chiral S(VI) Stereocenters by Kinetic Resolution of Sulfonimidoyl Chlorides

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 2, 9 January 2026.
An enantioconvergent approach for the kinetic resolution of S(VI) stereocenters that leverages the electrophilic reactivity of the chiral sulfur atom is described. The catalytic process provides access to sulfonimidoyl chlorides and sulfonimidates, which are among the least studied S(VI) functionalities.

Chemoselective Divergence via Substrate Control: Decarboxylative and Decarbonylative Coupling of 2‐Oxoacids with Allylic Difluorides

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 1, January 12, 2026.
A photocatalytic method for the decarboxylative CC coupling of 2‐oxoacids and allylic difluorides has been developed, yielding monofluoroalkenes in excellent yields. The reaction tolerates both aryl‐ and alkyl‐substituted 2‐oxoacids and displays high functional group tolerance.
