In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

DESIGN-ADAPTIVE POINTWISE NONPARAMETRIC REGRESSION ESTIMATION FOR RECURRENT MARKOV TIME SERIES [PDF]
A general framework is proposed for (auto)regression nonparametric estimation of recurrent time series in a class of Hilbert Markov processes with a Lipschitz conditional mean.

Recursive estimation o dynamic models using cook's distance, with application to wind energy orecast [PDF]
This article proposes an adaptive forgetting factor for the recursive estimation of time varying models. The proposed procedure is based on the Cook's distance of the new observation. It is proven that the proposed procedure encompasses the adaptive ...

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Adaptive Minimum Bit Error Rate Beamforming
An adaptive beamforming technique is proposed based on directly minimizing the bit error rate. It is demonstrated that this minimum bit error rate (MBER) approach utilizes the antenna array elements more intelligently, than the standard minimum mean ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Adaptive Minimum-BER Linear Multiuser Detection for DS-CDMA Signals in Multipath Channels
The problem of constructing adaptive minimum bit error rate (MBER) linear multiuser detectors is considered for direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) signals transmitted through multipath channels.

Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.
