Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Adaptive Traffic Speed Estimation

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2014
AbstractActive traffic management aims to dynamically manage congestion based on existing and predicted traffic conditions. A challenge in this is that it is not usually possible to process data in real-time and use the output in control algorithms or in traveler information systems.

Adaptive Estimation for Lévy Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This chapter is concerned with nonparametric estimation of the Lévy density of a Lévy process. The sample path is observed at $n$ equispaced instants with sampling interval $\Delta$. We develop several nonparametric adaptive methods of estimation based on deconvolution, projection and kernel. The asymptotic framework is: $n$ tends to infinity, $\Delta=\

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Actuator Fault Estimation Based on Adaptive H-infinity Observer Technique

open access: yes, 2009
In adaptive observer methods for actuator fault estimation, the system has to satisfy the condition of the Strictly Positive Realness (SPR). However, some practical systems may fail to satisfy the SPR condition.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
