Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Belief Revision for Adaptive Information Filtering Agents

open access: yes, 2001
Agent-based information filtering alleviates the problem of information overload on the Internet by proactively scanning through the incoming stream of information on behalf of the users.

Adaptively Biasing the Weights of Adaptive Filters [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2010
It is a well-known result of estimation theory that biased estimators can outperform unbiased ones in terms of expected quadratic error. In steady state, many adaptive filtering algorithms offer an unbiased estimation of both the reference signal and the unknown true parameter vector. In this correspondence, we propose a simple yet effective scheme for

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Observations on adaptive vector filters for noise reduction in color images

open access: yes, 2004
In a series of papers, Plataniotis et al. proposed a number of filters for noise reduction in color images where the noise type is unknown. In this letter, those filters with a unified notation are summarized, and it is shown that they are essentially ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Adaptive digital signal processing Java teaching tool

open access: yes, 2001
This publication presents a JAVA program for teaching the rudiments of adaptive digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and techniques. Adaptive DSP is on of the most important areas of signal processsing, and provides the core algorithmic means to ...

H ? filtering for stochastic singular fuzzy systems with time-varying delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper considers the H? filtering problem for stochastic singular fuzzy systems with timevarying delay. We assume that the state and measurement are corrupted by stochastic uncertain exogenous disturbance and that the system dynamic is modeled ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
