Adaptive Robust Stabilization of a Flexible Timoshenko Manipulator

2019 IEEE 4th International Conference on Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics (ICARM), 2019
This paper investigates an issue on the development of a vibration suppression scheme for stabilizing a flexible Timoshenko manipulator with time-varying disturbances and uncertain system parameters. In order to cope with the parametric uncertainties, mitigate the vibration, and realize the angle tracking of the manipulator, the boundary robust ...

Fault‐tolerant finite‐time adaptive higher order sliding mode control with optimized parameters for attitude stabilization of spacecraft

International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2021
This article considers the problem of attitude regulation of rigid spacecraft under the effect of inertial ambiguity, exogenous disturbances, input saturation, and actuator uncertainties.

Stability and robustness properties of a simple adaptive controller

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1996
A low-order adaptive tracking controller is proposed for linear time-invariant plants with a relative degree not exceeding two. The order of the plant is not required to be known a priori. The algorithm is robustly stable with respect to small linear time-invariant plant perturbations and bounded disturbances.

Rigid spacecraft robust adaptive attitude Stabilization Using state-dependent indirect Chebyshev pseudospectral method

L1-Adaptive Control: Stability, Robustness, and Interpretations.

IEEE Trans. Autom. Control., 2014
An adaptive control design approach that involves the insertion of a strictly proper stable filter at the input of standard Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) schemes has been proposed in the recent years. This approach was given the name L1-Adaptive Control (L1-AC) due to the L1 bounds obtained for various signals.

Robust Stabilization of Linear Differential Inclusion Using Adaptive Sliding Mode Control

American Control Conference, 2018
Control of the linear polytopic Differential Inclusion system in the presence of bounded disturbance is studied. An adaptive sliding mode control is proposed to achieve the asymptotic stability of the differential inclusion systems.

ROBUST STABILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADAPTIVE CONTROL SYSTEMS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990
Abstract Robustness conditions for adaptive control system will be derived in the forms of usual robust control criteria (Owens and Chotai 1982) and slow variation or closeness assumptions. It will be shown that slow variation will be true if the closed-loop adaptive system is stable in l∞ sense.

Adaptive tracking with robust stability

Proceedings of 32nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
We address adaptive tracking for nonlinear systems in 'observer canonical form'. We present control algorithms that combine the attractive features of recent adaptive algorithms with algorithms producing robust stability. This yields regressors which depend only the desired trajectory. >

Adaptive robust stabilization of dynamic nonholonomic chained systems

Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002
In this paper, the stabilization problem is investigated for dynamic nonholonomic systems with unknown inertia parameters and disturbances. Firstly, the nonholonomic kinematic subsystem is transformed into a skew-symmetric form and the properties of the overall systems are discussed.

Robust adaptive fuzzy logic power system stabilizer

Expert Systems with Applications, 2009
This paper introduces a robust adaptive fuzzy controller as a power system stabilizer (RFPSS) used to damp inter-area modes of oscillation following disturbances in power systems. In contrast to the IEEE standard multi-band power system stabilizer (MB-PSS), robust adaptive fuzzy-based stabilizers are more efficient because they cope with oscillations ...
