Bifunctional Artificial Enzymes‐Loaded Microgels With LOX‐ and CAT‐Like Activities for Metabolic Reprogramming and Scarless Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bifunctional lactate oxidase‐like and catalase‐like artificial enzyme (Metazyme) is integrated into a rod‐shaped microgel (MetaRgel) to enable cascade lactate oxidation and oxygen regeneration. By reprogramming the wound metabolic microenvironment, MetaRgel alleviates excessive lactate accumulation, oxidative stress, hypoxia, and inflammation ...

A global bibliometric and visualization study of the adaptive radiotherapy research landscape

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
The clinical application of adaptive radiotherapy (ART) remains limited in practice, mainly due to equipment limitations and time constraints. This analysis aims to uncover prevalent research patterns, emerging trends, and collaborative networks to guide

A Mitochondria‐Specific Nanomedicine for Synergistic Chemo‐Photothermal Therapy and Immunogenic Activation Against Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peptide dendrimer–based nanoplatform with mitochondria‐targeting capability was developed for synergistic chemo‐photothermal therapy. The system promotes efficient transcytosis, induces mitochondrial dysfunction, triggers immunogenic cell death (ICD), and enhance antitumor immunity by promoting dendritic cell maturation and T‐cell activation, resulting

A Chirality‐Converted Bacteriolytic Dodecapeptide Regulates Vibrio‐Induced Polymicrobial Infection and Ameliorates Invasion‐Associated Gut Microbiota Disequilibrium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

ALKBH3 m1A Demethylase Deficiency Reduces Alzheimer's Amyloid‐β Pathology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that ALKBH3‐driven m1A demethylation orchestrates Alzheimer's disease progression by disrupting mitochondrial and synaptic homeostasis. This epitranscriptomic mechanism suppresses PINK1‐mediated mitophagy via m1A erasure, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, elevated Aβ production, and impaired microglial ...

Real-time tracking of the Bragg peak during proton therapy via 3D protoacoustic Imaging in a clinical scenario

open access: yesnpj Imaging
Proton radiotherapy favored over X-ray photon therapy due to its reduced radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissues, is highly dependent on the accurate positioning of the Bragg peak.

Radiotherapy for primary bone tumors: current techniques and integration of artificial intelligence—a review

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
Primary bone tumours remain among the most challenging indications in radiation oncology—not because of anatomical size or distribution, but because curative intent demands ablative dosing alongside stringent normal−tissue preservation.

Balancing robustness and adaptation rate for proton therapy of lung cancer patients

open access: yesRadiotherapy and Oncology
An increase in plan robustness leads to a higher dose to organs-at-risk (OARs), and an increased chance of post-treatment toxicities. In contrast, more conformal plans lead to sparing of healthy surrounding tissue at the expense of a higher sensitivity to anatomical changes, requiring costly adaptations.
