Evaluation of T1 relaxation time in prostate cancer and benign prostate tissue using a Modified Look-Locker inversion recovery sequence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of T1 relaxation time (T1) for differentiating prostate cancer (PCa) from benign tissue as well as high- from low-grade PCa.

Validation and clinical implementation of an accurate Monte Carlo code for pencil beam scanning proton therapy. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Monte Carlo (MC)-based dose calculations are generally superior to analytical dose calculations (ADC) in modeling the dose distribution for proton pencil beam scanning (PBS) treatments.

Improved method for SNR prediction in machine-learning-based test [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper applies an improved method for testing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of Analogue-to-Digital Converters (ADC). In previous work, a noisy and nonlinear pulse signal is exploited as the input stimulus to obtain the signature results of ADC.

A low-power reconfigurable ADC for biomedical sensor interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a 12-bit low-voltage low-power reconfigurable Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). The design employs Switched Capacitor (SC) techniques and implements a Successive Approximation (SA) algorithm.

Private-Law Models for Official Immunity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
A method for correcting matching errors in an ADC is presented. The method uses the unknown input data from the application and does not require any test signal. Two algorithms for implementing the method are compared.

Digital radio over fibre for future broadband wireless access network solution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Copyright @ 2010 IEEEDigital systems are more flexible and environment-process-tolerant than analogue systems. They are more reliable and robust against cross-talk, interference and channel noises, and are capable of covering higher dynamic range than ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Equalization-Based Digital Background Calibration Technique for Pipelined ADCs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we present a digital background calibration technique for pipelined analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). In this scheme, the capacitor mismatch, residue gain error, and amplifier nonlinearity are measured and then corrected in digital ...

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
