Uninfected Bystander Cells Impact the Measurement of HIV-Specific Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity Responses

open access: yesmBio, 2018
The conformation of the HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein (Env) substantially impacts antibody recognition and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) responses.

Anti-programmed cell death protein-1/ligand-1 therapy in different cancers. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Immunologic checkpoint blockade with antibodies against the programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) or its ligand (PD-L1) is an effective method for reversing cancer immunosuppression and thereby promoting immune responses against several cancer types ...

T‐Cell Immunity and Lung Cancer

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have reshaped therapeutic strategies in lung cancer, their benefits remain limited. ICIs exert their therapeutic efficacy by activating T‐cell effector functions, underscoring the central role of T cells in antitumor immunity.

Targeting Immunologic Pathways in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis: Translating Emerging Evidence Into Clinical Practice

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare and potentially life‐threatening systemic, inflammatory disease with multi‐organ manifestations, variable presentation and complex pathology. Multiple interconnected immunological pathways are implicated in EGPA pathology, including a type‐2 immune response driving predominantly ...

Sustained delivery and molecular targeting of a therapeutic monoclonal antibody to metastases in the central nervous system of mice. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Approximately 15-40% of all cancers develop metastases in the central nervous system (CNS), yet few therapeutic options exist to treat them. Cancer therapies based on monoclonal antibodies are widely successful, yet have limited efficacy against CNS ...

Novel Bispecific Engagers Targeting the CεmX Domain of mIgE‐Expressing Cells

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
We developed bispecific TCE & NKCE targeting the CεmX domain of mIgE to eliminate IgE‐producing cells. Both constructs demonstrated potent, specific, dose‐dependent cytotoxicity and selective immune activation in vitro. These results highlight their promise as off‐the‐shelf, potentially curative therapeutics for IgE‐associated allergic diseases ...

A Transcriptomic Analysis of Cancer‐Stromal Interactome in Lung Cancer Xenograft Models

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the lung cancer interactome to identify key ligand–receptor pairs involved in the aggressiveness of lung adenocarcinoma. Tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 12 and its receptor tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 12A signaling axis may be potential candidates for therapeutic intervention for ...

IgA Targeting Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1 Envelope gp41 Triggers Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity Cross-Clade and Cooperates with gp41-Specific IgG to Increase Cell Lysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
The protective efficacy of human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) antibodies (Abs) remains mostly correlated with their in vitro neutralizing activity engaging their Fab region.

EMB‐01, a Tetravalent Bispecific Antibody, Inducing Co‐Degradation of EGFR and c‐Met for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Efficacy

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
As the breakthrough bispecific antibody targeting EGFR and c‐Met, EMB‐01 drives potent anti‐tumor efficacy by co‐degradation of both receptors. ABSTRACT The bispecific antibody EMB‐01 (bafisontamab), constructed using EpimAb's proprietary FIT‐Ig platform, is designed to simultaneously target epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and receptor tyrosine
