Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Design for Additive Manufacturing : Supporting Intrinsic-Motivated Creativity [PDF]
Emotional aspects and designers’ motivations in Design For Additive Manufacturing are rarely studied. Still, as they can influence creative behaviors, it is worth of interest to draw some bases for a relation between designers’ motivations and the field ...

Design for laser additive manufacturing
S.259-279Today, laser additive manufacturing (LAM) is used in many industrial applications. Because of the freedom in design allowed by LAM, it offers much potential for new approaches in product design.

Compositional criteria to predict columnar to equiaxed transitions in metal additive manufacturing
Predicting the columnar to equiaxed transition (CET) and grain refinement for additively manufactured alloys from thermodynamic databases has been a long-standing challenge and an ongoing source of discussion.
