The Convex Closure of the Output Entropy of Infinite Dimensional Channels and the Additivity Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The continuity properties of the convex closure of the output entropy of infinite dimensional channels and their applications to the additivity problem are considered.

Superadditivity in trade-off capacities of quantum channels

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, we investigate the additivity phenomenon in the dynamic capacity of a quantum channel for trading classical communication, quantum communication and entanglement.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Systems of Diagram Categories and K-theory. II

open access: yes, 2004
The additivity theorem for derivateurs associated to complicial biWaldhausen categories is proved. Also, to any exact category in the sense of Quillen a K-theory space is associated.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Model misinterpretation

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2012
Models of myriad forms are rapidly becoming central to biology. This ranges from statistical models that are fundamental to the interpretation of experimental results to ODE models that attempt to describe the results in a mechanistic format. Models will

Additivity condition for reference kiosk based on page load time

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал, 2020
The paper analyzes the condition of additivity of the information and reference kiosk, which allows designing a static kiosk, which is essentially a set of pages organized in order to provide users with reliable information in various fields of knowledge

A General Information Theoretical Proof for the Second Law of Thermodynamics

open access: yes, 2007
We show that the conservation and the non-additivity of the information, together with the additivity of the entropy make the entropy increase in an isolated system.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
