A Case of Anti‐TNFα Therapies Induced Lupus Panniculitis Successfully Improved With a JAK Inhibitor (Baricitinib)

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lupus erythematosus panniculitis (LEP) is a rare variant of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (1%–3% of CLE). There are two case reports to date in the literature of LEP potentially triggered by anti‐TNF‐α therapies. Clinically, it is characterised by tender, erythematous subcutaneous indurated nodules or plaques on fatty body areas.

A new preclinical sheep model of medial meniscus anterior root repair: Part 1—Quantitative morphology and relationships to adjacent structures

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To analyse the quantitative morphology of the menisci, their roots and relations with a focus on the medial meniscus anterior root (MAR) as a basis for a preclinical model. Methods Data was obtained from 24 tibial plateaus of skeletally mature, female Merino ewes. The MAR attachment (MARA) was scanned with micro‐computed tomography and

Effects of a high‐fat diet on gut microbiota and possible implications for bone health in male Wistar rats

open access: yesLipids, EarlyView.
Abstract Diet plays an important role in the composition of gut microbiota. Emerging research suggests that bone homeostasis can also be influenced by the gut microbiota. The aim of this study was to assess possible alterations in gut microbiota in an experimental obesity model induced by a high‐fat diet (HFD) and the possible effects on parameters of ...

Systematic Investigation of Tumor Microenvironment and Antitumor Immunity With IOBR

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a critical factor in antitumor immunity and treatment outcome in cancer therapy. We have developed an analysis tool called the immuno‐oncology biological research (IOBR) to investigate the TME and its role in antitumor immunity.

Breaking Boundaries: Chronic Diseases and the Frontiers of Immune Microenvironments

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The immune microenvironment includes immune cells, cytokines, extracellular matrix, vesicles, etc. The interactions between these components form a unique local immune microecology. Although immunity serves as the defense against external pathogens, aberrant immune activation often contributes to disease development.
