Changes in adrenocortical lipid fluidity of hyperfunctioning human adrenals
The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 1992Lipid droplets, the storage places of cholesterol in adrenocortical cells, exhibit a relatively uniform appearance studied by the electron microscope but they are heterogeneous in respect of their optical polarizing properties. Optical birefringency was studied in cryosections of normal and hyperfunctioning adrenal cortex by a polarizing microscope ...

SUMMARY Nephrotomography and ultrasonography were used in 11 dogs with hyperadrenocorticism to assess the value of these techniques for the localization of biochemically diagnosed hyperfunctioning adrenocortical tumors. Both techniques enabled accurate localization of a unilateral adrenal mass in each of the dogs.

STUDIES IN PATIENTS WITH ADRENOCORTICAL HYPERFUNCTION. II. CORTICOSTEROID EXCRETION PATTERNS*
Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, 1960ABSTRACT The α-ketolic and α,β-unsaturated corticosteroids excreted in the urine were paper-chromatographically separated into the individual compounds. Scanning patterns of these steroids are presented as they occurred in healthy subjects and in 10 patients with adrenocortical hyperfunction.

HLA antigens in patients with adrenocortical hyperfunction.
Acta medica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, 1979The HLA antigen frequencies in 100 Caucasian patients with adrenocortical hyperfunction were compared with those found in 352 healthy unrelated subjects. Fourteen antigens on the HLA--A locus, seventeen antigens on the HLA--B locus and three antigens on the HLA--C locus were determined using the standard NIH microlymphocytotoxicity test.
