Cooperative Learning and the affective domain

open access: yes, 2019
This paper seeks to give practical examples of how teachers can promote the development of students’ affective learning using two Cooperative Learning structures: Student Teams Assessment Divisions (STAD) and Jigsaw Classroom. It also includes a taxonomy

The Use of Diagnostic Test for Islamic Education Subject in The Affective Domain Assessment

open access: yesTa'dib, 2023
The affective domain is one of the abilities that is difficult to measure in learning, mainly because it is difficult to find the proper assessment technique.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Implementation of Affective Domain Assessment in Islamic Religious Education Learning at SDN Rampal Celaket 2 Malang

open access: yesManazhim
Affective domain assessments that assess the emotional, motivational, attitude, interest, and spirit of learners have the same urgency as cognitive and psychomotor domains.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Research in the affective domain in mathematics education

open access: yes
This chapter provides a critical review of Australasian research in the affective domain in mathematics education from 2020 to 2023. We first locate the chapter in relation to broader discussions of the affective domain and previous developments in this ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Risk taking behaviour in bipolar affective disorder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This piece of research was designed to explore the nature of risk taking behaviour and impulsivity in bipolar affective disorder. Involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential, or risk, for unwanted consequences forms one of the DSM IV

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
