Modifikasi Algoritma Affine Cipher untuk Mengamankan Data

open access: yesJURNAL TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI, 2020
-  The Affine Cipher algorithm is part of classical cryptography which is a method of substitution in data security, namely shifting the plaintext by multiplying the plaintext value with a key with a prime number value.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

An N-Substituted Polyurea Coating with High Affinity for Heparin

open access: yesASAIO Journal, 1993
A new N-substituted polyurea with tertiary amino groups in the polycarbamidic chain (NPUTA) has been synthesized. The polymer is soluble in C1-C4 alcohols, has high adhesion to polar molds, and has high H2O uptake (130-150%). The material can be coated on many biomaterials (polyurethanes, charcoal hemosorbents, cellulosic hemodialysis membranes), and ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Local sequence alignments statistics: deviations from Gumbel statistics in the rare-event tail

open access: yesAlgorithms for Molecular Biology, 2007
Background The optimal score for ungapped local alignments of infinitely long random sequences is known to follow a Gumbel extreme value distribution. Less is known about the important case, where gaps are allowed. For this case, the distribution is only

PP-waves with torsion and metric-affine gravity

open access: yes, 2005
A classical pp-wave is a 4-dimensional Lorentzian spacetime which admits a nonvanishing parallel spinor field; here the connection is assumed to be Levi-Civita. We generalise this definition to metric compatible spacetimes with torsion and describe basic

Two Novel Multidimensional Affine Variations of the Hill Cipher

open access: yesMathematics and Computer Science
Two novel symmetric multidimensional affine nested variations of the Hill Cipher are presented. The Hill Cipher is a block polygraphic substitution encryption scheme based on a linear transformation of plaintext characters into ciphertext characters.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

About linear and affine equivalence of substitutions

open access: yesPrikladnaya diskretnaya matematika, 2013
Summary: The results of computer experiments with a software implementation of algorithms for determining the linear and affine equivalence of substitutions are presented. The detailed description of the algorithms is given. Experimental operation time of the algorithms is compared with the theoretical complexity of the problem.
