Novel dual-recognition electrochemical biosensor for the sensitive detection of AFM1 in milk.

Food Chemistry, 2023
Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) is a highly carcinogenic and toxic compound that is commonly found in dairy foods such as milk. We developed an electrochemical MIP (molecularly imprinted polymer) and aptamer (Apt) based aptasensor (Apt-Au@PEIM/AFM1/MIP-Apt/AuNPs)/GCE) with dual-recognition signal amplification to detect AFM1 in milk.

Covalent organic framework-based aptananozyme (COF@NH2 apt-AFM1): A novel platform for colorimetric and fluorescent aptasensing of AFM1 in milk.

Food Chemistry
Nanozymes are valued for their cost-effectiveness and robustness but are often limited their lack of specificity. This study introduces a Covalent Organic Framework-based aptananozyme (COF@NH2 apt- AFM1) for label-free, dual-mode detection of Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) in milk.

Degradation products of aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) formed by high voltage atmospheric cold plasma (HVACP) treatment.

Toxicon, 2023
Cold plasma technology is a novel non-thermal technology that has shown promising results for food decontamination and improving food safety. This study is a continuation of a previous investigation of the treatment of AFM1-contaminated skim and whole milk samples by HVACP. Previous research has shown HVACP is effective in degrading aflatoxin M1 (AFM1)

AFM1 exposure in male balb/c mice and intervention strategies against its immuno-physiological toxicity using clay mineral and lactic acid bacteria alone or in combination

Immunopharmacology and immunotoxicology, 2023
Context Aflatoxins are the most harmful mycotoxins that cause human and animal health concerns. Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) is the primary hydroxylated metabolite of aflatoxin B1 and is linked to the development of hepatocellular carcinoma and immunotoxicity in ...

Aflatoxin AFM1, safety and milk quality

Veterinaria Kubani, 2020
Summary. Mycotoxins exert a negative effect on large horned cattle through a decrease in feed intake. Extreme drought conditions during the cultivation and harvest of crops included in the diet of cows can lead to a dangerous increase in the concentration of aflatoxin B1, a highly toxic and carcinogenic substance from the group of mycotoxins from ...

The prevalence of aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) in conventional and industrial dairy products (yogurt, cheese, kashk and dough) of Iran: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Reviews on Environmental Health, 2021
Aflatoxin is a toxic metabolite produced mainly by Aspergillus spp. which may occur in dairy products because of biotransformation. In this work, a systematic and meta-analysis approach has been considered on the topic of aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) content in ...

[AFM1 Content Survey in Dairy Products for Infants].

Shokuhin eiseigaku zasshi. Journal of the Food Hygienic Society of Japan, 2022
Infant formula in liquid for childcare can be stored at room temperature for a certain period of time, reducing the burden of childcare and preparing for disasters. Against this background, domestic manufacturing and sales began in March 2019. AFM1 is a metabolite of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), a carcinogenic mycotoxin, and is contained in the milk of ...

Optical fiber fluorescence spectroscopy for detecting AFM1 in milk

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
ABSTRACT Fluorescence spectroscopy carried out by m eans of optical fibers was used for the rapid screening of M1 aflatoxin in milk, enabling the detection of concentrations up to the legal limit, which is 50 ppt. A compact fluorometric device equipped with a LED source, a miniaturized spectrometer, a nd optical fibers for illumination/detection of the

Occurrence of AFM1 in various types of cheeses: an overview [PDF]

open access: possible, 2022
Aflatoxins are secondary metabolites produced by moulds, mostly Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus parasiticus and Aspergillus nombus. The most common are aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), B2 (AFB2), G1 (AFG1), G2 (AFG2), M1 (AFM1) and M2 (AFM2). AFM1 is the main metabolite of the most toxic aflatoxin-AFB1 and it is formed in the animal’s liver as a result of ...

Aromalı UHT sütlerde AFM1 varlığı

2015
