Surface Growth and Diffusion Energetics of Ag Monolayers on Cu (001)

open access: yesMetals, 2014
The growth of Ag monolayers on Cu (001) was studied by periodic Density Functional Theory (DFT). Despite the limited solid solubility of Ag in Cu, the growth of a single Ag overlayer on Cu (001) was predicted as feasible.

Onasemnogene Abeparvovec in Type I Spinal Muscular Atrophy: 24‐Month Follow‐Up From the Italian Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Onasemnogene abeparvovec (OA) is an AAV9‐based gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy type I (SMA I). Real‐world outcomes show increased response variability compared to clinical trials, and follow‐up data beyond 12–18 months are limited.

The karyotype of three Brazilian Terrarana frogs (Amphibia, Anura) with evidence of a new Barycholos species

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2009
A recent substantial rearrangement of the 882 described eleutherodactyline frog species has considerably improved the understanding of their systematics. Nevertheless, many taxonomic aspects of the South American eleutherodactyline species remain unknown

Clinical Assay of Serum SCC-Ag in Urothelial Cancers

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 1988
Serum squamous cell carcinoma related antigen (SCC-Ag) values were determined in 86 patients with urothelial cancers. Mean + standard deviation for serum SCC-Ag. was 3.4 ± 0.98 ng/ml and positive values (> 2.0 ng/ml) were found in 27%.

Nucleolar organizer regions and a new chromosome number for Rhea americana (Aves: Rheiformes)

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 1998
Sequential banding analysis (Giemsa-C-banding-Ag NOR) of chromosomes of the common rhea (Rhea americana) was performed. Metaphases were obtained by peripheral blood lymphocyte culture and monolayer embryo cell culture.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

[18F]Fluorodeprenyl‐D2 PET as a Tool to Monitor Disease Activity in GAD65‐Ab Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate [18F]fluorodeprenyl‐D2 ([18F]F‐DED) positron‐emission tomography (PET) imaging as a biomarker of disease activity in autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) associated with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibodies. Methods [18F]F‐DED PET was performed in 25 GAD65‐AIE patients and 8 controls using dynamic (0–60 min) and ...
