CtBP2, a transcriptional corepressor with metabolite sensing capabilities, maintains feeding homeostasis by preventing excessive food intake in the hypothalamic feeding center. CtBP2 limits food intake by inhibiting KLF4 within AgRP neurons and by promoting the inhibitory influence of POMC neurons on AgRP neurons.
