Robust soybean leaf agroinfiltration

Plant Cell Reports
A robust agroinfiltration-mediated transient gene expression method for soybean leaves was developed. Plant genotype, developmental stage and leaf age, surfactant, and Agrobacterium culture conditions are important for successful agroinfiltration.

Transient silencing of the grapevine gene VvPGIP1 by agroinfiltration with a construct for RNA interference

open access: yesPlant Cell Reports, 2011
Grapevine is an economically important crop, and the recent completion of its genome makes it possible to study the function of specific genes through reverse genetics. However, the analysis of gene function by RNA interference (RNAi) in grapevine is difficult, because the generation of stable transgenic plants has low efficiency and is time consuming.

A simple and efficient agroinfiltration method for transient gene expression in Citrus

Plant Cell Reports, 2021
Microwounding pre-treatment facilitates agroinfiltration and transient gene expression in hard-to-agroinfiltrate citrus varieties. Agrobacterium infiltration is a widely used method for transient expression studies in plants, but this method is not used extensively in citrus because of its low efficiency. In this study, we developed an easy, cheap, and

Development and optimization of agroinfiltration for soybean

Plant Cell Reports, 2014
Agroinfiltration is an efficient method to study transgene expression in plant tissue. In this study, sonication followed by vacuum infiltration is shown to increase agroinfiltration-mediated GUS expression in soybean. Agroinfiltration, a valuable tool for rapid analysis of gene function, has been used extensively on leaf tissue of Nicotiana ...

Agroinfiltration as a Tool for Transient Expression of cre Recombinase in vivo

open access: yesTransgenic Research, 2005
Agroinfiltration was used to express transiently cre recombinase from bacteriophage P1 in planta. Activation of gfp expression after cre-mediated excision of a bar intervening sequence served as a marker to monitor site-specific recombination events in lox-target N. benthamiana plants. Gfp expressing regenerants from A.

In Vivo Ubiquitination Assay by Agroinfiltration

Methods in Molecular Biology, 2011
The ubiquitination/proteasome system is involved in nearly all plant signaling processes. Many signaling components are degraded by the 26S proteasome upon ubiquitination by specific E3 ubiquitin ligase. However, due to technical limitations, only a few pairs of E3 ligase-substrate interactions have been directly demonstrated in plants.

Developing a versatile technology for agroinfiltration in multiple plants

bioRxiv
Summary Agrobacterium -mediated transient transformation methods are widely used in plant science and molecular pharming. However, plant immune response and post-transcriptional gene silencing (PTGS) can compromise gene expression, limiting the adaptability of these methods across plant species.
