The barley on the territory of the Republic of Croatia is insufficiently produced, and the reasons probably lie in lower yields compared to wheat.

, 2019 Kukuruz je biljka od iznimne važnosti kako u prehrani ljudi i životinja, tako i u industriji. Zrno je osnovna sirovina u proizvodnji stočne hrane zbog visokog sadržaja ugljikohidrata (70-75%), te sadržaja bjelančevina (10%). Isto tako to je jedna od najzastupljenijih žitarica na svjetskim oranicama.
