Insulin resistance and periodontitis: Mediation by blood pressure

Every unit increase in the triglyceride‐glucose index (TyG index) was associated with 17% increased odds of moderate/severe periodontitis, with a stronger association seen in individuals with obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. Sensitivity analyses post‐imputation showed consistent results.
