Caveolin 1 Modulates Aldosterone‐Mediated Pathways of Glucose and Lipid Homeostasis
BackgroundOveractivation of the aldosterone and mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) pathway is associated with hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia. Caveolin 1 (cav‐1) is involved in glucose/lipid homeostasis and may modulate MR signaling.

Mitral valve transcatheter edge‐to‐edge repair in the elderly—A safe and effective therapy
Mitral valve transcatheter edge‐to‐edge repair in elderly patients is safe and offers comparable mitral valve regurgitation reduction and symptom relief to younger patients. At 3 years, increased all‐cause mortality is observed in elderly patients with advanced heart failure and elevated EuroSCORE II.

Abstract Aims The prognosis of heart failure (HF) is closely linked to inflammation and nutritional status. The advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI) is a composite indicator consisting of several parameters used to assess inflammation and nutritional status. Our study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of ALI in HF patients. Methods The

Abstract Aims Differences in guideline‐directed medical therapy (GDMT) and clinical outcomes have been observed between heart failure (HF) patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) versus those in sinus rhythm. This study evaluated the effects of up‐titration of HF therapies, consisting of beta‐blockers, angiotensin‐converting‐enzyme inhibitors (ACEis ...

Abstract Aims This study aimed to conduct a phase 2 proof‐of‐concept and safety study to evaluate the effect of ENIBARCIMAB (EN), a non‐neutralizing humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the N‐terminus of adrenomedullin (ADM), administered immediately after stabilization with standard of care (SoC) treatment, in patients hospitalized for acute heart ...

Abstract Aims Guideline‐directed medical therapy (GDMT) is recommended for all patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Despite this, little data exist describing GDMT use in diverse, real‐world populations including the use of vasodilators, prescribed primarily to Black populations.
