An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.

Zinc Promoted Cross‐Electrophile Sulfonylation to Access Alkyl–Alkyl Sulfones
The transition metal‐catalyzed multi‐component cross‐electrophile sulfonylation, which incorporates SO2 as a linker within organic frameworks, has proven to be a powerful, efficient, and cost‐effective means of synthesizing challenging alkyl–alkyl ...

Theoretical kinetic study of thermal unimolecular decomposition of cyclic alkyl radicals [PDF]
While many studies have been reported on the reactions of aliphatic hydrocarbons, the chemistry of cyclic hydrocarbons has not been explored extensively. In the present work, a theoretical study of the gas-phase unimolecular decomposition of cyclic alkyl radicals was performed by means of quantum chemical calculations at the CBS-QB3 level of theory ...

The mechanism of pyridine hydrogenolysis on molybdenum-containing catalysts : IV. The conversion of piperidine [PDF]
The conversion of piperidine was investigated on a CoO-MoO3-Al2O3 catalysts as a function of the temperature, reaction time, initial piperidine partial pressure and the hydrogen pressure.\ud \ud At 60 atm of hydrogen and conversions below 50% piperidine ...

Recent Advances in Radical-Initiated C(sp3)–H Bond Oxidative Functionalization of Alkyl Nitriles
Chemoselective functionalizations of intrinsically less reactive C(sp3)–H bonds of alkyl nitriles are of particular interest to the chemical community because these strategies provide opportunities for the introduction of important cyanoalkyl groups onto

Deaminative Strategy for the Visible-Light-Mediated Generation of Alkyl Radicals.
A deaminative strategy for the visible-light-mediated generation of alkyl radicals from redox-activated primary amine precursors is described. Abundant and inexpensive primary amine feedstocks, including amino acids, were converted in a single step into ...

We developed a strategy to harness alkyl amines as alkylating agents via C-N bond activation. This Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling of alkylpyridinium salts, readily formed from primary amines, is the first example of a metal-catalyzed cross coupling via C ...

Faradaic charging with bromine redox chemistry shows promise for energy storage, yet its efficient use in aqueous electrolytes is hindered by water decomposition and polybromides' cross‐diffusion, leading to suboptimal cell performance. This study introduces a tetrabutylammonium bromide‐based hydrated deep eutectic electrolyte with optimized water ...
