Heterogeneously Catalyzed Cascade Oxidative Coupling/Dearomative Spirocyclization of Diarylamines: Facile Access to Spiroacridines

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Spirocyclic compounds, particularly spirocyclohexadienones, are important in pharmaceuticals due to their biological activity. In this study, we develop a catalytic cascade oxidative spirocyclization of diarylamines for the rapid access to highly functionalized spirocyclohexadienones. Using commercially available recyclable heterogeneous metal

CO2 in Ionene–Ionic Liquid Composite Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
Ionene–IL composites feature IL‐rich domains spanning hundreds of nanometers within the ionene matrix, enabling CO2 absorption and redistribution in both regions. As IL content increases, ionic domains expand, enhancing CO2 solubility. These composites offer a promising platform for CO2 separation membranes, combining improved diffusion and selectivity

A Conformationally Driven Mechanism in n‐Type Doping of Naphthalene Diimide‐Bithiophene Copolymer by 1H‐Benzimidazoles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that the n‐type doping of the P(NDI2OD‐T2) with 1H‐benzimidazoles is already effective at room temperature, leading to an increase in conductivity of more than three orders of magnitude before annealing. Spectroscopic and structural analyses, supported by DFT simulations, suggest that conformational changes in the dopant molecules upon
