Recombinant Hypoallergenic Cat Allergy Vaccines

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study reports the construction and preclinical characterization of peptide‐carrier‐based vaccines combining all three important cat allergens (Fel d 1, Fel d 4 and Fel d 7) within single vaccine antigens, termed PreS‐Cat 1‐PreS‐Cat 5. Two subcutaneous immunizations of rabbits with PreS‐Cat 1‐5 induce equal or better antibodies blocking allergic ...

Fish Allergenicity Ladder and Parvalbumin Epitopes for Predicting Clinical Cross‐Reactivity and Reintroduction in Chinese Population

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Clinical history including self‐reported history and oral food challenge outcome, and sIgE sensitization profile of 200 subjects with suspected fish allergy was analyzed to construct a 3‐step fish allergenicity ladder. The allergenicity ladder was positively linked to the relative parvalbumin content of fish muscle but not to differences in the IgE ...

IFNγ Signaling Impairs Regulatory B Cell Function Resulting in Worse Control of Esophageal Food Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
We used patient samples and a murine model to understand the contribution of Bregs to EoE immunopathology. We find that Breg‐derived IL‐10 is important for controlling EoE, but that Breg expansion and function are impaired in this condition. We identify IFNγ as a key negative regulator of Breg function in mice and patients with EoE. Bregs, regulatory B
