Breakdown of thymic tolerance - an etiologic link between acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease [PDF]
Allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the standard therapy for many disorders of the haematological system. Its use is limited by the major complication acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Development of acute GVHD predisposes

The effectiveness and safety of allogeneic mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) can be affected by patient’s immune recognition. Thus, MSC immunogenicity and their immunomodulatory properties are crucial aspects for therapy.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Human hematopoiesis is critically dependent on the transcription factor GATA2. Patients with GATA2 deficiency typically present with myelodysplastic syndrome, reduced numbers of monocytes, NK cells and B cells, and/or opportunistic infections.
