Optimal allocation of clusters in stepped wedge designs with a decaying correlation structure

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
The cluster randomized stepped wedge design is a multi-period uni-directional switch design in which all clusters start in the control condition and at the beginning of each new period a random sample of clusters crosses over to the intervention ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

When is it Optimal to Exhaust a Resource in a Finite Time? [PDF]

open access: yes
Exhaustion of a natural resource stock may be a rational choice for an individual and/or a community, even if a sustainable use for the resource is feasible and the resource users are farsighted and well informed on the ecosystem.

Quick eVALUATION OF THE INTERVAL STABILITY OF THE LINEAR ASSIGNMENT problem SOLUTIONS

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2019
An efficient algorithm for evaluating the interval of solutions stability of opened and closed linear assignment problems based on a review of the results of optimization iterations is proposed. Economical one-step transition to the nearest vertex of the
