EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

The universal semilattice compactification of a semigroup

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1999
The universal abelian, band, and semilattice compactifications of a semitopological semigroup are characterized in terms of three function algebras.

On the fractional Fourier and continuous fractional wave packet transforms of almost periodic functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
We state the fractional Fourier transform and the continuous fractional wave packet transform as ways for analyzing persistent signals such as almost periodic functions and strong limit power signals. We construct frame decompositions for almost periodic

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Existence of doubly-weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions to non-autonomous differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
First we show that if the doubly-weighted Bohr spectrum of an almost periodic function exists, then it is either empty or coincides with the Bohr spectrum of that function.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Meromorphic almost periodic functions

open access: yes, 2007
We study meromorphic functions in a strip almost periodic with respect to the spherical metric. Then we get a complete description of zeros and poles for this class of functions, find a condition for a meromorphic almost periodic function to be a quotient of two holomorphic almost periodic function, find a necessary and suficient condition for sum and ...

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Offset Linear Canonical Stockwell Transform for Boehmians

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we construct a Boehmian space using the convolution theorem that contains the offset linear canonical Stockwell transforms (OLCST) of all square-integrable Boehmians.

Convergence over fractals for the periodic Schr\"odinger equation

open access: yes, 2020
We consider a fractal refinement of the Carleson problem for pointwise convergence of solutions to the periodic Schr\"odinger equation to their initial datum. For $\alpha \in (0,d]$ and $s < \frac{d}{2(d+1)} (d + 1 - \alpha)$, we find a function in $H^s(\
