An arm length stabilization system for KAGRA and future gravitational-wave detectors [PDF]
Modern ground-based gravitational wave (GW) detectors require a complex interferometer configuration with multiple coupled optical cavities. Since achieving the resonances of the arm cavities is the most challenging among the lock acquisition processes ...

Background and Purpose Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a devastating neurodegenerative disease with limited treatment options. ALS pathogenesis involves intricate processes within motor neurons, characterized by dysregulated Ca2+ influx and buffering in early ALS‐affected motor neurones. This study proposes the modulation of ryanodine receptors (

SOD1 Protein Content in Human Central Nervous System and Peripheral Tissues
Disease‐modifying treatments targeting the core pathological process for SOD1‐linked amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) are becoming available. Much evidence suggests that misfolding and aggregation of the SOD1 protein cause proteotoxicity, and inhibition of SOD1 expression shows a good effect in many ALS patients.

Art is the formal study of moral standard and correct. The term ethics and morality are often used interchangeably indeed. They usually can mean the something, and in casual conversation. There isn't a problem with switching between one and other when discussing morality it is important to distinguish between morals and values.

Expanded intronic G4C2 repeats in the C9ORF72 gene cause amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). These intronic repeats are translated through a non-AUG-dependent mechanism into five different dipeptide repeat proteins ...
