A New Binding Model for Structurally Diverse ALS Inhibitors
Pest Management Science, 1996Acetolactate synthase (ALS) has been a very attractive target for herbicides for the last decade. There are several ALS inhibitors in commercial use spanning the world-wide market. In this study, the common structural features within a subset of ALS inhibitors were investigated by molecular graphics and quantum chemical calculations.

Water chickweed (Myosoton aquaticum L.), a competitive broadleaf weed, is widespread in wheat fields in China. Tribenuron and pyroxsulam failed to control water chickweed in the same field in Qiaotian Village in 2011 and 2012, respectively. An initial tribenuron resistance confirmation test identified a resistant population (AH02).

Aggregation of trypsin and trypsin inhibitor by Al cation
Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B: Biology, 2017Al cation may trigger protein structural changes such as aggregation and fibrillation, causing neurodegenerative diseases. We report the effect of Al cation on the solution structures of trypsin (try) and trypsin inhibitor (tryi), using thermodynamic analysis, UV-Visible, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic methods and atomic force ...

Physiological consequences of mutation for ALS-inhibitor resistance
Weed Science, 1999Biochemical and physiological effects of target site resistance to herbicides inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS) were evaluated using sulfonylurea-resistant (R) and -susceptible (S) near isonuclearLactuca sativa‘Bibb’ lines derived by backcrossing the resistance allele fromLactuca serriolaL. intoL.

Common lambsquarters response to the ALS inhibitor herbicides
Research on Crops, 2019Common lambsquarters (Chenopodium album) is a worldwide weed species growing in cropping system. Two trials were performed between 2015 and 2016 to evaluate applications of ALS inhibitor herbicides for common lambsquarters control and crop safety in spring wheat.

Effects of two new aldose reductase inhibitors, AL-1567 and AL-1576, in diabetic rats
Metabolism, 1987Two new potent aldose reductase inhibitors, AL-1567 (DL-spiro(2-fluoro-9H-fluoren-9,4'-imidazolidine)-2',5'-dione) and AL-1576 (spiro-(2,7-difluoro-9H-fluoren-9,4'-imidazolidine)2',5'-dione), have been characterized with respect to in vitro activity toward rat lens and human placental aldose reductase and in vivo activity in uncontrolled, severely ...
