Genetics Of Aluminum Tolerance In Maize [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Aluminum (Al) toxicity is a major agronomic problem on acid soils worldwide, due to increased solubility of Al3+ at a low pH, and inhibition of plant growth.

Overexpression of soybean SGF14a enhanced tolerance of transgenic tobacco plants to aluminum stress

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2015
Approximately 30% of the global arable land in the world is acidic soils (pH<5) and China's acidic soil accounts for more than 21% of the area. Aluminum (Al) toxicity is a major limiting factor which limited crop production in acid soils.

Structural Power Composites Based on High Mass Loading Zn‐Ion Hybrid Supercapacitors with Metal Mesh Current Collectors and Aramid Nanofiber/Glass Fiber Composite Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional structural power composite is developed by integrating high‐mass‐loading Zn‐ion hybrid supercapacitors with metal mesh current collectors and aramid nanofiber‐based composite electrolytes, enabling simultaneous load‐bearing capability and enhanced areal energy storage.

Mechanisms of Aluminum Tolerance in Triticum aestivum L. (Wheat). I. Differential pH Induced by Winter Cultivars in Nutrient Solutions.

open access: yes, 1985
Twenty winter cultivars of Triticum aestivom L. (wheat) were grown in solution culture with and without aluminum (A1) (74 gM, 2.0 mg L-') for 14 days.

Bone‐Inspired Recyclable Composites for Damage‐Tolerant Circular Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bone‐inspired architected composites are developed by combining osteon‐like reinforcements with a recyclable Elium thermoplastic matrix. The hierarchical architecture redirects cracks and promotes energy dissipation, while enabling recovery of intact, aligned, load‐bearing reinforcement units that retain their original stiffness, revealing a route ...

Tolerance of upland rice cultivars to aluminum and acidic pH

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental
Although the upland rice has been known by its moderate tolerance to aluminum, the presence of exchangeable aluminum in acidic soils may inhibit and compromise the adequate plant growth.

Effect of aluminum concentration on growth and secondary metabolites production in three chemotypes of Cunila galioides Benth. medicinal plant Efeito da concentração de alumínio no crescimento e produção de metabólitos secundários em três quimiotipos da planta medicinal Cunila galioides Benth

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology, 2011
Medicine plants play an important role in public health, especially in developing countries, and among them Cunila galioides Benth. is a naturally occurring medicinal and aromatic plant native from south Brazil. Flavonoids, present in significant amounts

Comparative Performance and Partial Load Cycling of Sodium‐Metal Chloride Battery Modules With Mixed‐Metal Fe,Zn and Ni,Fe Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sustainable Na‐(Fe,Zn)Cl2 battery modules deliver discharge energies comparable to state‐of‐the‐art Na‐(Ni,Fe)Cl2 batteries through high active‐material utilization, although with lower power capability. Advanced electrochemical characterization reveals a distinct reaction mechanism and low resistance during Fe dechlorination.

The Cell Membrane of a Novel Rhizobium phaseoli Strain Is the Crucial Target for Aluminium Toxicity and Tolerance

open access: yesCells, 2022
Soils with low pH and high aluminium (Al) contamination restrict common bean production, mainly due to adverse effects on rhizobia. We isolated a novel rhizobium strain, B3, from Kenyan soil which is more tolerant to Al stress than the widely used ...

Mechanism of Aluminum Tolerance in Snapbeans [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1991
One proposed mechanism of aluminum (Al) tolerance in plants is the release of an Al-chelating compound into the rhizosphere. In this experiment, two cultivars of snapbeans (Phaseolus vulgaris L. "Romano" and "Dade") that differ in Al tolerance were grown hydroponically with and without Al under aseptic conditions. After growth in nutrient solutions for
