Sustainable hydrogen production can be obtained from hydogen‐rich biomass‐derived organic molecules through Acceptorless Dehydrogenation (AD) reactions. Glycerol and sugars are available in large quantities from industry and can be successfully used as substrates in AD protocols, in the presence of tailored, selective, easily tunable and thermally ...

Biodegradable films made from raw and acetylated cassava starch
Studies were carried out to produce biodegradable films from cassava starch. Two alternatives were investigated. In the first, films were obtained by starch gelatinization followed by thermopressing and glycerol was used at different concentrations as a ...

This study employs first‐principles density functional theory + U calculations to explore the effects of Zn doping on the structural, electronic, and photocatalytic properties of NiS. The results reveal that Zn incorporation narrows the band gap, enhances visible‐light absorption, and promotes efficient charge separation, highlighting Zn–NiS as a ...

New amido- and imido-titanium complexes [PDF]
cpTiCl3 (cp = η5-C5H5) in reaction with Me3SiN(H)R (R = Et, Pri, But, or Ph) yields the amido complexes cpTi(Cl)2N(H)R, which react further by HCl abstraction to give the corresponding centrosymmetric binuclear imido complexes [cp(Cl)Ti]2(μ-RN)2; substitution of the chloride ligands by organic groups is possible with the imido complexes, as is ...

Functional polymer materials containing heavy group‐14 elements focusing on germanium and tin
The synthesis, functions, and applications of the polymers containing heavy group 14 elements focusing on germanium and tin are outlined. Owing to their large atomic radii and weak binding energies, the polymers show unique properties: chromism, luminescence, carrier mobility, and reactivity to produce radials and higher coordinated states.
