Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Cloning and mRNA tissue distribution of rabbit cholesteryl ester transfer protein.
The amino acid sequence of rabbit cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) has been obtained from cloned cDNA and genomic sequences. The 496 amino acid rabbit CETP has an overall sequence homology of 81% compared to the 476 amino acid human CETP, with ...

The amino acid sequence of human plasma prealbumin.
The complete amino acid sequence of plasma prealbumin has been determined. Prealbumin forms a stable complex with plasma retinol-binding protein and plays an important role in vitamin A transport.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Nine high molecular weight gluten subunits have been purified from cultivars of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum). They have broadly similar amino acid compositions with 34–39 mol% Glx, 12–17 mol% Pro and 14–19 mol% Gly. Some differences in the contents of

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Towards the directed evolution of an L-aspartate oxidase from Pseudomonas putida [PDF]
Amino acid oxidases (AAOs) are enantioselective flavoenzymes that catalyse the oxidation of amino acids into imino acids, which spontaneously hydrolyse in water to form keto acids. AAOs have several potential applications, most notably as biocatalysts in

CISAPS: Complex Informational Spectrum for the Analysis of Protein Sequences [PDF]
Complex informational spectrum analysis for protein sequences (CISAPS) and its web-based server are developed and presented. As recent studies show, only the use of the absolute spectrum in the analysis of protein sequences using the informational ...
