Inhibitory activity of 14 phosphonic analogues of phenylglycine, substituted in aromatic ring by fluorine and chlorine, was determined towards porcine aminopeptidase N. The obtained data served as a basis for studying their interaction with the enzyme as modelled by the use of Schrödinger Release 2018 program.

Tolerance to Phosphorus Deficiency Improves Seed Phytic Acid‐to‐Iron Molar Ratios in Common Bean
ABSTRACT Although significant advances have been achieved in the biofortification of common beans to overcome deficiencies in Zinc (Zn) and iron (Fe), the mechanisms involved remain poorly understood. We thus explored the relationships between phosphorus nutrition and Zn and Fe accumulation in four bean genotypes (Edar, Nizok, Colorado and Chimbolos ...

Rapid CO2 effects on protein‐related metabolism during photosynthetic gas exchange
SUMMARY It is common practice to vary atmospheric CO2 mole fraction (Ca) during gas exchange experiments to manipulate photorespiration and explore photosynthetic properties such as maximum carboxylation velocity. In doing so, it is assumed that changing Ca essentially alters the carboxylation‐to‐oxygenation ratio, with negligible effects on other ...

Different Infectivity of Swine Enteric Coronaviruses in Cells of Various Species
Swine enteric coronaviruses (SECoVs), including porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV), transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), and swine acute diarrhea syndrome coronavirus (SADS-CoV), have caused high mortality in ...

Tissue-specific interactions between nuclear proteins and the aminopeptidase N promoter.
Udgivelsesdato: 1991-Sep-25Aminopeptidase N/CD13 is a metallopeptidase found in many tissues. Aminopeptidase N activity is high in the small intestinal mucosa, moderate in the liver, and low in the spleen.

Role of intestinal brush border membrane aminopeptidase N in dipeptide transport
The kinetics of uptake of radioactive label from [U-14C]Gly, L-[4,5-3H]Leu and the dipeptide [14C]Gly—L-[4,5-3H]Leu by the brush border membrane vesicles of porcine small intestine have been studied.

Evidence for an apical sorting signal on the ectodomain of human aminopeptidase N
In polarized epithelial cells aminopeptidase N is targeted to the apical membrane. The aim of this study was to determine whether a sorting signal is necessary for its correct transport to the apical membrane and, if so, to localize this sorting signal ...

Discovery of Bioluminogenic Probes for Aminopeptidase N Imaging
To find an approach that can image the hydrolysis activity of aminopeptidase N (APN) both in vitro and in vivo, three bioluminescent probes have been well designed and synthesized herein.
