Amine exchange into ammonium bisulfate and ammonium nitrate nuclei [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2010
Abstract. The exchange kinetics and thermodynamics of amines for ammonia in small (1–2 nm diameter) ammonium bisulfate and ammonium nitrate clusters were investigated using electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS). Ammonium salt clusters were reacted with amine gas at constant pressure to determine

Function and Regulation of Ammonium Transporters in Plants

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2020
Ammonium transporter (AMT)-mediated acquisition of ammonium nitrogen from soils is essential for the nitrogen demand of plants, especially for those plants growing in flooded or acidic soils where ammonium is dominant.

Shape of ammonium chloride dendrite tips at small supersaturation [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Cryst. Growth, 274 (2005) 233-240, 2004
We report detailed shape measurements of the tips of three-dimensional ammonium chloride dendrites grown from supersaturated aqueous solution. For growth at small supersaturation, we compare two different models: parabolic with a fourth-order correction, and power law.

Ammonium Oxathioamidate

open access: yesMolbank
Ammonium oxathioamidate (1) was synthesised by the reaction between O-ethyl-thioxamate (oxalic acid-1-amide-2-O-ethyl ester) and ammonium hydrogen carbonate in water solution. Compound 1 was fully characterised by both microanalytical (elemental analysis, melting point determination) and spectroscopic means (FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy).

Ammonium Does Not Induce Ammonium Absorption in Tomatoes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Horticultural Science, 1998
We examined root ammonium absorption by tomato seedlings (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. `T-5') after first exposure of the roots to ammonium. Some plants received a nutrient medium containing nitrate as the sole N source. In a second treatment, the leaves were sprayed daily with a urea solution, while the roots were in N-free medium.

Nitrogen absorption kinetics and accumulation of soluble nitrogenous fractions and sugars in sunflower

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, 2014
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) has emerged as a promising crop among oilseed species with agro-energetic importance. Considering the nutrients required by the sunflower crop, nitrogen is the most limiting for yield, besides affecting its oil production.

Nitric oxide-dependent anaerobic ammonium oxidation

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Nitric oxide (NO) has important functions in biology and atmospheric chemistry as a toxin, signaling molecule, ozone depleting agent and the precursor of the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide (N2O).

Simultaneous ammonium and phosphate recovery and stabilization from urban sewage sludge anaerobic digestates using reactive sorbents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The use of low-cost inorganic sorbents as a new sustainable strategy to enhance the valorization of nutrients (N-P-K), from the urban water cycle (e.g., side streams from sewage sludge anaerobic digestion), in agriculture applications is presented.
