Initially identified as monomers, G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) can also form functional homo- and heterodimers that act as distinct signaling hubs for cellular signal integration.

A hydrophobic-interaction-based mechanism trigger docking between the SARS CoV 2 spike and angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 [PDF]
A recent experimental study found that the binding affinity between the cellular receptor human angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and receptor-binding domain (RBD) in spike (S) protein of novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is more than 10-fold higher than that of the original severe acute respiratory syndrome ...

Single‐Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals cellular heterogeneity in adrenal incidentalomas, identifying distinct tumor cell populations. Clusterin is recognized as a biomarker for adrenocortical tumors, correlating with established markers. MYCN‐positive clusters in pheochromocytomas indicated poorer survival.

A decade of studies on long-term habituation (LTH) in the crab Chasmagnathus is reviewed. Upon sudden presentation of a passing object overhead, the crab reacts with an escape response that habituates promptly and for at least five days. LTH proved to be

In this study, it is proposed that SENP3 accumulates in macrophages of aneurysmal aortic tissues, which promotes macrophage ferroptosis and inflammation via regulation of CTH de‐SUMOylation. Abstract Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a high‐risk inflammatory disorder. SENP3, a SUMO2/3‐specific protease, is closely involved in the development of cancer.

Mapping active allosteric loci SARS-CoV Spike Proteins by means of Protein Contact Networks [PDF]
Coronaviruses are a class of virus responsible of the recent outbreak of Human Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The molecular machinery behind the viral entry and thus infectivity is based on the formation of the complex of virus spike protein with the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2).

Engineering the Immune Response to Biomaterials
This paper reviews immune responses to biomaterials, stages of evolution in relation to managing these responses ranging from preventing to modulating them. It also discusses state‐of‐the‐art strategies to modulate these responses and modes of their delivery.

In silico Prediction of Mozenavir as potential drug for SARS-CoV-2 infection via Binding Multiple Drug Targets [PDF]
Since the epidemic began in November 2019, no viable medicine against SARS-CoV-2 has been discovered. The typical medication discovery strategy requires several years of rigorous research and development as well as a significant financial commitment, which is not feasible in the face of the current epidemic.

Vessel‐On‐A‐Chip Coupled Proteomics Reveal Pressure‐Overload‐Induced Vascular Remodeling
A vessel‐on‐a‐chip system is developed to replicate both physiological and pathological vessel cyclic stretches. Proteomic analysis reveals pressure‐overload‐induced vascular remodeling, including cellular response to mechanical cues, cellular oxidative stresses, ER stress, and ceramide biosynthesis activation in the vessel‐on‐a‐chip system, well ...
