Review of devices for measuring angles and prospects for development

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2010
The article analyzes the methods and devices for angle measurement. An accurate analysis of devices for angle measurement was performed. The accuracy of the angle position of the tested device was evaluated.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Observing angular deviations in light beam reflection via weak measurements

open access: yes, 2014
An optical analog of the quantum weak measurement scheme proved to be very useful for the observation of optical beam shifts. Here we adapt the weak value amplification method for the observation of the angular Goos-Hanchen shift.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Measurement of the CKM angle alpha with the B-factories

open access: yes, 2005
B-meson decays involving b->u transitions are sensitive to the Unitarity Triangle angle alpha (or phi_2). The B-factories at SLAC and KEK have made significant progress toward the measurement of alpha in recent years. This paper summarizes the results of

Robust Secure Transmission of Using Main-Lobe-Integration Based Leakage Beaforming in Directional Modulation MU-MIMO Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In the paper, we make an investigation of robust beamforming for secure directional modulation in the multi-user multiple-input and multiple output (MU-MIMO) systems in the presence of direction angle measurement errors.

Spindle Angle Measurements

open access: yesBIO-PROTOCOL, 2013
Spindle angles measures derive from the measures of spindle poles positions that were taken from fixed and immunostained adherent cells. To determine spindle angles (α), z-stack images of metaphasic cells immunostained with anti γ-tubulin (spindle poles) and anti β-tubulin antibodies (mitotic spindle) were acquired.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Contact Angle Measurement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The Contact angle, where a liquid/vapor interface meets a solid surface[wiki], has been widely used to measure the wettability of a surface in physics and chemistry.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
