STUDY OF APOPTOSIS OF IMMUNE CELLS IN TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2017
Type 1 diabetic mellitus (T1DM) is known to be associated with progressive destruction of β-cells of the pancreas. Dysregulated immunity and programmed cell death are an important link in pathogenesis of diabetes.

Identification of natural compounds targeting Annexin A2 with an anti-cancer effect

open access: yesProtein & Cell, 2018
Annexin A2, a multifunctional tumor associated protein, promotes nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) activation by interacting with NF-κB p50 subunit and facilitating its nuclear translocation. Here we demonstrated that two ginsenosides Rg5 (G-Rg5) and Rk1 (G-

RNA Helicase DDX21 Controls CD4+ T Cell Proliferation and Promotes Inflammatory Bowel Disease via Translational Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by dysregulated T cell responses. RNA helicases, including DExD‐box helicase 21 (DDX21), are pivotal in RNA metabolism, but their role in T cell‐mediated pathology during IBD remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that DDX21 expression in CD4+ T cells correlates with cell cycle and translation ...

Annexin A1 Tethers Membrane Contact Sites that Mediate ER to Endosome Cholesterol Transport

open access: yesDevelopmental Cell, 2016
Summary Membrane contact sites between the ER and multivesicular endosomes/bodies (MVBs) play important roles in endosome positioning and fission and in neurite outgrowth.

Gemella morbillorum Promotes Colorectal Carcinogenesis: LPBDCP‐Mediated Invasion Activates Ras Signaling and Destabilizes p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

DMAP1 Deficiency Suppresses Lung Cancer Progression by Destabilizing Replication Fork and Activating IFN Signaling‐Mediated Anti‐tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

The translational relevance of the Annexin A1 pathway in inflammatory pathologies: opportunities for novel therapeutic development

open access: yes, 2009
PhDEndogenous anti-inflammatory mediators form a complex network triggered in the host to dampen cell activation and promote resolution of inflammation.

Down-Regulation of Annexin A1 in the Urothelium Decreases Cell Survival After Bacterial Toxin Exposure

open access: yes, 2013
PURPOSE: We examined the role of annexins in bladder urothelium. We characterized expression and distribution in normal bladders, biopsies from patients with bladder pain syndrome, cultured human urothelium and urothelial TEU-2 cells. MATERIALS AND

CD4+ Tregs Drive Post‐Ischemic Sprouting Angiogenesis via Endothelial YY1/MAML1 Reactivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microvascular complications of diabetes are chronic diseases of small vessels. We previously found that CD4+ regulatory T‐cells (Tregs) are markedly reduced in type 2 diabetes (T2D) after ischemic injury in both mice and humans, and that Treg deficiency in immunodeficient mice impairs vascular regeneration.

Investigation into the role of annexin 1 in the microcirculation of annexin 1 knockout mice

open access: yes, 2005
PhDGlucocorticoids are used therapeutically for their anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive actions. One of the ways they produce their potent effects is via regulation of the anti-inflammatory protein Annexin I (ANX-AI; 37 kDa protein).
