Efficient Antagonistic k-plex Enumeration in Signed Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
A signed graph is a graph where each edge receives a sign, positive or negative. The signed graph model has been used in many real applications, such as protein complex discovery and social network analysis. Finding cohesive subgraphs in signed graphs is a fundamental problem.

Cell‐free DNA aneuploidy score as a dynamic early response marker in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
mFast‐SeqS‐based genome‐wide aneuploidy scores are concordant with aneuploidy scores obtained by whole genome sequencing from tumor tissue and can predict response to ARSI treatment at baseline and, at an early time point, to ARSI and taxanes. This assay can be easily performed at low cost and requires little input of cfDNA. Cell‐free circulating tumor

From defense to offense: Modulating toll-like receptors to combat arbovirus infections

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics
Arboviruses are a significant threat to global public health, with outbreaks occurring worldwide. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play a crucial role in the innate immune response against these viruses by recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns and

Integration of single‐cell and bulk RNA‐sequencing data reveals the prognostic potential of epithelial gene markers for prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy with significant clinical heterogeneity in men. An 11‐gene signature derived from dysregulated epithelial cell markers effectively predicted biochemical recurrence‐free survival in patients who underwent radical surgery or radiotherapy.

FGF-2 Induces Neuronal Death through Upregulation of System xc- [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The cystine/glutamate antiporter (system xc-) transports cystine into cell in exchange for glutamate. Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) upregulates system xc- selectively on astrocytes, which leads to increased cystine uptake, the substrate for ...

Discovering Antagonists in Networks of Systems: Robot Deployment [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
A contextual anomaly detection method is proposed and applied to the physical motions of a robot swarm executing a coverage task. Using simulations of a swarm's normal behavior, a normalizing flow is trained to predict the likelihood of a robot motion within the current context of its environment.
