Adaptive Aloha anti-collision algorithms for RFID systems [PDF]

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Embedded Systems, 2016
In this paper, we propose two adaptive frame size Aloha algorithms, namely adaptive frame size Aloha 1 (AFSA1) and adaptive frame size Aloha 2 (AFSA2), for solving radio frequency identification (RFID) multiple-tag anti-collision problem. In AFSA1 and AFSA2, the frame size in the next frame is adaptively changed according to the real-time collision ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Anti Collision and Secured Level Crossing System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Applications, 2014
road and rail accidents are increasing with the advancement of human errors. Majority of the level crossing positions are not guided by any accident preventive mechanism and even not accompanied by a skilled person. This paper presents an automatic rail gate control system at level crossing positions and accident prevention mechanism.

Expanding Chemical Space of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles for Tunable Antiviral‐Like Immunomodulatory Responses and Potent Adjuvant Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles

Beam Search Algorithm for Anti-Collision Trajectory Planning for Many-to-Many Encounter Situations with Autonomous Surface Vehicles

open access: yesSensors, 2020
A single anti-collision trajectory generation problem for an “own” vessel only is significantly different from the challenge of generating a whole set of safe trajectories for multi-surface vehicle encounter situations in the open sea.

Research on the intelligent management system of the trackless rubber-tyred vehicles in the coal mine

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2023
In the coal mine, underground working places are scattered, transportation routes are complex, and there are many bends and intersections in the roadway.

Synthetic Nanobiology Actuated Lipometabolic Cell Factory for Autologous Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
FA plays a crucial role in the interaction between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, especially for the immune response. A biocatalytic immunoenhancement strategy is developed to boost antitumor immunity by FA metabolic orientation to ceramide. Through the design of this delicate catalytic immunoenhancement strategy, the synthetic nanobiology

A Machine Learning Auxiliary Approach for the Distributed Dense RFID Readers Arrangement Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper is an extended version of the work published. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is widespread in industries such as supply-chain management and logistics due to its low-cost feature. In many real-world problems, one often needs to leverage

Recent Results from the BRAHMS Experiment

open access: yes, 2004
We present recent results obtained by the BRAHMS experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) for the systems of Au + Au and Cu + Cu at \rootsnn{200} and at 62.4 GeV, and p + p at \rootsnn{200}. Nuclear modification factors for Au + Au and Cu
