An improved solid-phase immunoassay for anti-GBM antibodies
Journal of Immunological Methods, 1982A solid-phase immunoassay has been developed for the detection of anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibodies in the circulation of patients with Goodpasture's syndrome and one form of rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. The procedure involves the formation of a covalent linkage between the antigen and a solid support disc.

Abstract. The diagnostic potential of assays detecting anti‐neutrophil cytoplasm antibodies (ANCA), anti‐GBM antibodies and anti‐dsDNA antibodies was evaluated by examining sera from time of admission in a consecutive series of 455 patients with biopsy verified primary or secondary glomerulonephritis (GN).

ANCA and anti-GBM antibodies in diagnosis and follow-up of vasculitic disease
In the last decade, serological detection of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) and of anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibodies has tremendously facilitated the diagnosis of small vessel vasculitides. Once diagnosed, these diseases have proven to be treatable.

Isologous monoclonal antibodies can induce anti-GBM glomerulonephritis in rats
Journal of Pathology, 1992AbstractInjection of isologous monoclonal antibodies (SR2, SR3) caused anti‐glomerular basement membrane antibody‐induced glomerulonephritis (anti‐GBM nephritis) in WKY/NCrj rats. The antibodies were obtained from hybridoma cells derived from fusion of the spleen of a nephritic WKY/NCrj ral injected with rat solubilized renal basement membranes with ...

ANCA and Anti-GBM Antibodies in RPGN
1993ANCA and anti-GBM antibodies can occur together in RPGN. These patients are rare and have two distinct populations of antibodies and the ANCA specificity tends to be for myeloperoxidase more often than expected.

Non-Goodpasture Anti-GBM Antibodies in Patients with Glomerulonephritis
Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation, 1989The sera of 206 consecutive patients with biopsy-proven glomerulonephritis were tested by ELISA for the presence of Goodpasture and non-Goodpasture anti-GBM antibodies. Antigens were solubilised from human GBM with purified bacterial collagenase and with 6 mol/l guanidine-HCl respectively.

Nephrotic Syndrome in Anti-GBM Antibody Mediated Glomerulonephritis
Southern Medical Journal, 1979Glomerulonephritis induced by antibodies to the glomerular basement membrane is a well recognized cause of renal disease and is responsible for 5% to 15% of all glomerular disease. The patients usually present with an acute nephritic syndrome followed by rapidly progressive renal failure. We report two patients who presented with the nephrotic syndrome

Diagnosis and classification of Goodpasture's disease (anti-GBM)
Goodpastures disease or anti-glomerular basement membrane disease (anti-GBM-disease) is included among immune complex small vessel vasculitides. The definition of anti-GBM disease is a vasculitis affecting glomerular capillaries, pulmonary capillaries ...

Anti-GBM Antibody Mediated Glomerulonephritis
American Journal of Kidney Diseases, 1998Fig 2. Early segmental fibrinoid necrosis with early cellular crescent formation without endocapillary proliferation or evidence of immune complexes in the remaining glomerular tuft. This light microscopic finding is that of a pauci-immune necrotizing glomerulonephritis, with a specific diagnosis of anti-GBM antibody-mediated glomerulonephritis made by
