Anti inflammatory property of salbutamol on acute and chronic models of inflammation

open access: yesNational Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 2015
Background: β2-Adrenergic receptor agonist agents were able to suppress the immune response by inhibiting release of IL-12 and production of TNF-α by the direct stimulation of β-adrenergic receptors on inflammatory immune ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

In vitro evaluation of the antibacterial and anti-inflammation activities of Clausena lansium (Lour.) Skeels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Crude extracts of twigs and roots of Clausena lansium (Lour.) Skeels were separated and purified using repeated silica gel column chromatography to yield 12 compounds identified as xanthotoxol (1), imperatorin (2), heraclenol (3), heraclenin (4 ...

Research progress of anti-inflammation therapy and immunotherapy for acute pancreatitis [PDF]

open access: yes
At present, the incidence and mortality rate of severe acute pancreatitis is 15%-20% and about 20%, respectively, which can lead to local and systemic complications of patients and huge medical costs.

PARylation promotes acute kidney injury via RACK1 dimerization-mediated HIF-1α degradation

open access: yesActa Pharmaceutica Sinica B
Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation (PARylation) is a specific form of post-translational modification (PTM) predominantly triggered by the activation of poly-ADP-ribose polymerase 1 (PARP1).

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Development of a New Salt of Piperine with Toluene Sulfonic Acid and Its Anti-Inflammation Effect In Vivo [PDF]

open access: yes
Piperine (PPN) is a natural compound with an anti-inflammation effect and low solubility. Hence, some molecular modifications have improved its solid-state character, including cocrystal formation. However, the salt structure has yet to be widely studied.

Influence of Boiling, Steaming and Frying of Selected Leafy Vegetables on the In Vitro Anti-inflammation Associated Biological Activities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of cooking (boiling, steaming, and frying) on anti-inflammation associated properties in vitro of six popularly consumed green leafy vegetables in Sri Lanka, namely: Centella asiatica, Cassia ...
