Experimental study on braking and stability performance during low speed braking with ABS under critical road conditions

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2021
During braking with ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), low braking initial speed causes to build-up and reduce brake pressure in longer time period due to extending application time of brake pressure and response time of solenoid valve.

Evaluation of a Novel Emergency Braking Task on a Driving Simulator with Haptic Anti-Lock Braking System Feedback

open access: yesSafety, 2022
Rear-end crashes are one of the leading types of crashes today. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) was designed to assist drivers during emergency braking situations by preventing wheel lock up, allowing drivers to retain control of the vehicle.

Time-Varying Sliding Mode Control for ABS Control of an Electric Car [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Controller design for the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) of a wheeled vehicle is a challenging task because of the complex and nonlinear nature of the tyre-road interaction.

Enhancement of Vehicle Safety and Improving Vehicle Yaw Behaviour Due to Offset Collisions Using Vehicle Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study aims to optimise Vehicle Dynamic Control Systems (VDCS) in offset impact for vehicle collision mitigation. A proposed unique 3-D full-car mathematical model is developed and solved numerically to carry out this analysis. In this model, vehicle

Aircraft Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Fuzzy Logic Control

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1994
Fuzzy logic is used to deal with nonlinear ABS that contains incomplete or uncertain characteristics. A nonlinear interpolation design from given look-up tables with fuzzy logic is proposed. The resulting continuous interpolated nonlinear characteristics are used as identified parameters in the system design.
