Factors of Innate and Adaptive Local Immunity in Children with Primary Deficiencies of Antibody Formation

open access: yesZdorovʹe Rebenka, 2013
In 40 children with various types of primary immunodeficiencies (PID) of antibody formation we examined factors of local immunity in saliva. It is found that in the saliva of children with PID of antibody formation in comparison with immunocompetent ...

Antisperm antibody formation following Vasectomy

open access: yesJournal of Family and Reproductive Health, 2007
Objective: Seeking for fertility after previous vasectomy is increasing. Vasectomy may break the blood testis barrier and in this way the level of antisperm antibody increases.

Humoral response to viral vector COVID-19 vaccine in hemodialysis patients [PDF]

open access: yesKidney Research and Clinical Practice, 2022
Background The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine is not readily available in many countries where dosing interval is spaced more than ideal. Patients with chronic kidney disease, especially those on maintenance hemodialysis, have a tendency for

Peptides Derived From Mismatched Paternal Human Leukocyte Antigen Predicted to Be Presented by HLA-DRB1, -DRB3/4/5, -DQ, and -DP Induce Child-Specific Antibodies in Pregnant Women

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2021
Predicted Indirectly ReCognizable Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Epitopes (PIRCHE) are known to be a significant risk factor for the development of donor HLA-specific antibodies after organ transplantation.

ANTIBODY FORMATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1963
Injection of a sufficient dose of bacteriophage ϕX 174 into guinea pigs results in the formation of rapidly sedimenting antibody molecules (19S), and later, slowly sedimenting molecules (7S). Above a threshold dose of antigen, the relative rate of 19S formation is maximal and dose-independent; below this dose, slower relative rates are obtained.

Humoral Response after Three Doses of mRNA-1273 or BNT162b2 SARS-CoV-2 Vaccines in Hemodialysis Patients

open access: yesVaccines, 2022
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a worldwide health issue. Among hemodialysis (HD) patients, two-dose immunization schemes with mRNA vaccines have contributed to preventing severe COVID-19 cases; however, some have not produced a sufficient humoral ...
