A Randomized, Placebo‐Controlled Trial of Hydroxychloroquine in Incomplete Lupus

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 4, Page 870-879, April 2026.
Objective Patients with features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who do not fulfill classification criteria can be designated as incomplete lupus erythematosus (ILE). This condition includes individuals with a high risk of progression to SLE. Treatment of ILE may reduce symptoms, severity, and incidence of SLE.

Arteannuin B Inhibits NSCLC Cells via Regulating miR‐194‐3p/CLDN2 Axis

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
Arteannuin B (Art B), a sesquiterpene lactone from Artemisia annua, upregulates miR‐194‐3p, which directly targets two conserved sites (nt 358–365 and 1232–1238) in the CLDN2 3′ UTR. This triggers mRNA decay and blocks translation, suppressing CLDN2 expression.

Specific and Multi‐Product Clade I and Clade IV Sesquiterpene Synthases Contribute to the Psilocybe cubensis Volatilome

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, April 2026.
Five sesquiterpene synthases of Psilocybe cubensis were investigated in vitro and in vivo. CubF is a clade I synthase producing α‐muurolol, whereas clade IV synthases CubG1 and CubG2 produce epi‐isozizaene and β‐duprezianene. Further clade IV synthases CubH and CubI primarily make dauca‐4(11),8‐diene and β‐barbatene, respectively.

Regenerative Scalp Preparation With Stromal Vascular Fraction and Platelet‐Rich Fibrin Prior to Hair Transplantation in Lichen Planus: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Clinical before‐and‐after images of a 36‐year‐old female with lichen planopilaris following scalp preparation with stromal vascular fraction and platelet‐rich fibrin prior to hair transplantation, showing marked improvement at 1‐year follow‐up. ABSTRACT Lichen planus (LP) is a chronic inflammatory scalp disorder that can lead to cicatricial alopecia ...

Complete Dialysis‐Free Recovery From Severe Malaria–Associated Acute Kidney Injury and Multiorgan Failure: A Case Report and Brief Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Severe malaria remains a major cause of acute kidney injury and multiorgan failure in endemic regions, often requiring renal replacement therapy. However, access to dialysis is limited in many resource‐constrained settings, making outcomes highly dependent on early diagnosis and effective antimalarial treatment. We report a 32‐year‐old man who
